The Quadrant, Swansea – A Bright New Destination
Since Centurion’s acquisition of The Quadrant in Swansea in August 2024, the centre has embarked on a major transformation aimed at attracting new tenants, increasing occupancy, and contributing to the wider regeneration of Swansea city centre—building on Centurion’s proven success at Parc Tawe.
During the first 12 months of ownership, Centurion has focused primarily on renewing and restructuring historic leases with existing tenants. This strategic approach has been key to ensuring the continued vibrancy and long-term sustainability of The Quadrant, laying the groundwork for future investment and growth. Each of these steps forms part of a broader regeneration strategy to re-establish The Quadrant as the retail and social heart of the city.
Early progress includes the launch of Menkind in October 2024, with additional retailers such as Rituals, WYE and Skechers set to open in 2025. The Quadrant now features an impressive mix of flagship and national brands, including Holland & Barrett and Clogau, both of which have committed to long-term leases that reflect their confidence in the centre’s renewed direction.
The Quadrant also benefits from a diverse mix of retailers—from leading high street names to independent operators and essential everyday services—spanning fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food, and health. This varied offer creates a dynamic and accessible shopping environment for the Swansea community and visitors alike.
Centurion has strengthened relationships with The Quadrant’s anchor tenants, including Boots, JD Sports and WHSmith, alongside other prominent retailers such as Superdry and Pandora. These key stores continue to serve as flagship attractions, driving customer footfall and supporting the vitality of both The Quadrant and the wider Swansea city centre economy.
Looking ahead, Centurion is working closely with Swansea Council to further position The Quadrant as a central hub in the city’s ongoing regeneration. Future plans include the potential redevelopment of the former Debenhams unit to accommodate major national retailers and further enhance the centre’s offer.
